Why Would a 27-Year-Old Know Anything About Medicare?

Good question. Here’s the short version: I started helping seniors with Medicare when I was 20 years old. Most people my age were figuring out college. I was sitting across the table from retirees, learning their stories, and helping them find plans that actually fit their lives.

Seven years later, I’ve helped hundreds of Arizona seniors compare plans, check their prescriptions, and enroll with confidence. I’m a licensed, independent broker based right here in Mesa. That means I work with multiple insurance companies, not just one. I don’t get paid more for recommending one plan over another. My only goal is finding the right fit for you.

I know Medicare can feel overwhelming. That’s exactly why I got into this work. I wanted to make it simpler. When you call me, you talk to me, not a call center, not a recording. Just a real person who will answer your questions in plain English.

You Get a Real Person

When you call, I answer. After you enroll, I’m still here. You’ll never be transferred to a stranger or put on hold for 45 minutes. I’m your advisor, not a call center.

Plans Matched to Your Life

I start by asking about your doctors, your prescriptions, and your budget. Then I show you plans that actually fit. Not a generic list. A real comparison built around what matters to you.

More Options, Not Fewer

Because I’m independent, I compare plans from multiple insurance companies. You see all your choices in one place so you can make an informed decision.

It Costs You Nothing

My help is completely free. I’m paid by the insurance companies, not by you. There’s no fee, no catch, and no obligation.

Not Sure Which Medicare Plan Is Right for You?

Here’s a simple breakdown of your three main options. I’ll help you figure out which one makes the most sense for your situation.

Most Popular

Medicare Advantage

All-in-one plans from private insurance companies. They often include hospital, doctor, prescription, and extra benefits like dental and vision. Many have a $0 monthly premium. The tradeoff: you usually need to use doctors in a network.

Most Flexible

Medicare Supplement

Also called Medigap, these plans help cover costs that Original Medicare doesn’t pay, like copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. You can see any doctor who accepts Medicare, anywhere in the country. The tradeoff: higher monthly premiums.

Drug Coverage

Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)

Standalone plans that help lower the cost of your medications. If you choose a Medicare Supplement plan, you’ll likely need one of these too. I check your specific prescriptions to find the plan with the lowest total cost.

Common Medicare Questions, Answered

These are the questions I hear most often. If yours isn’t here, just call me and ask.

What’s the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Advantage plans are all-in-one with extras like dental and vision, usually with lower premiums but a doctor network. Supplement plans fill in the gaps of Original Medicare and let you see any Medicare-accepting doctor. I help you figure out which path fits your situation.

Will my doctor accept the plan?

It depends on the plan. Before recommending anything, I check which plans include your current doctors. If keeping your doctor is important, that’s the first thing we look at.

Are my prescriptions covered?

Every plan has a list of drugs it covers called a formulary. I run your medications through each plan’s formulary to find the best coverage at the lowest cost. This is one of the most important steps and I do it for you.

When should I enroll in Medicare?

Most people become eligible at 65. Your enrollment window starts 3 months before your birthday month and ends 3 months after. Missing it can mean penalties and gaps. I walk you through your specific timeline.

Is there any cost to work with a broker?

No. My help is always free. I’m paid by insurance companies when you enroll. You pay the same premium whether you use a broker or go direct. There’s no markup and no hidden fee.

I already have a plan. Can you still help?

Yes. During Open Enrollment each fall (October 15 through December 7), you can review and switch plans. I can check whether your current plan still fits or if there’s a better option for next year.
